The Value of Play

Our ranges of traditional and natural wooden toys are crafted with children in mind. The value of play is essential to the development of children’s minds, co-ordination, imagination and emotional development. We have a range of rocking horses and riding toys which will stimulate any child’s imagination and encourage role play. Building sets and dominoes help to develop younger and older children’s co-ordination, motor skills and intellectual capabilities.

Our walking animals and wheeled toys; including wooden cars and trains, will delight any small child helping to develop a sense of creative play and inquisitiveness. We feel our beautiful range of natural and traditional wooden toys will stimulate your child’s mind and senses, encouraging their creative and emotional development, as well as give them ownership of a beautiful toy that can be passed down through generations.

The Quality of our wooden toys

Many of our wooden toys are handmade and crafted to exceptionally high standards. Our products have either no colour or very little colour. Those that do have colour have been treated with high quality non-toxic paints and dyes ensuring they are perfectly safe for young children.

Environmental Impact and Benefits

It is important to us at My Natural Wooden Toys, that our products have no or very little impact on our environment. The advantages of wooden toys versus plastic are they can be made from renewable sources or recycled materials. Plastics have a huge impact on our environment by comparison. Even after your child may have broken a plastic toy, it will remain in landfill giving off toxic chemicals for many generations to come. Wooden toys are also more hygienic as they do not harbour harmful bacteria’s.

Ethical Concerns

All of our products are sourced in the EU from sustainable and well managed forests. Our products are certified for children of 3 years and over, excluding our rocking horses which are certified for use of children aged 18 months and over. Our natural wood products are treated with lacquers without compromising the quality, durability and feel of the toys.
